Over the past few years, Aladdin Travel has focused on specific non-profit organizations that needed help and asked you to vote for your favorite. Gifts were awarded based on the number of votes received. Additionally, we made contributions to food banks in client markets. This year, we are changing our year end giving pattern.
On one hand, we are staying closer to home with our giving. During our 2017 Annual Meeting, we assembled over 1,000 hygiene kits that will benefit some of the 40,000 children in Forsyth County who live below the poverty line. Our gifts will be donated to H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem. We also financially supported the Salvation Army Angel Tree through West Yadkin Elementary School, helping ensure children have a better Christmas.
On the other hand, we are going global with our giving. For our friends in the Caribbean, we donated to the Episcopal Hurricane Relief Fund. This donation provides critical supplies for organizations in countries devastated by the onslaught of hurricanes in 2017. It also helps communities prepare for future emergencies and assists with the long-term efforts needed to rebuild.
This financial and volunteer support would not be possible without Aladdin Travel benefiting from great clients and committed employees.
With much appreciation for our relationships,
Ricky and the Aladdin family
