When Should You Rent A Convertible?

When it is sunny in Napa!  A hearty salmon breakfast at the bustling Sunflower Café in Sonoma began our second day in the wine country. With the car in true convertible form, we headed up the CURVY road toward Napa.  THIS is what I imagined! Coming down the mountain, the curtain parted and Napa Valley was revealed.  Wow. Wow. Wow.  We could literally SMELL the grapes.

Soooo many vineyards!  Where to begin?  You can plan precisely or just pick a place!  This time, we just started picking!

Tasting at Frank Family Vineyards and working south, we visited Rombauer (Same family name is on The Joy of Cooking!), tasted at Grgich Hills, toured and tasted at Rubicon and finally tasted at the Hill Family Estate. Seeing the Napa Valley Wine Train and enjoying lunch from the Oakville Grocery added to the romance of the day.  Dinner at the Girl and the Fig in Sonoma was a memorable way to end our first trip to the wine country and of course….we are planning to visit again soon! We took lots of pictures!  Enjoy!

Aladdin wants to know!  Have you visited the Napa Valley? What was YOUR favorite stop?  Did you rent a convertible?
