The train ride from Tangier to Fez was remarkable. I thought the scenery was going to be a desert landscape but Morocco has one of the largest freshwater lakes in Africa. Through irrigation, the land is covered...mile after mile.... of vegetable crops, citrus groves and vineyards. It was lush and beautiful.
