Exploring Anguilla? Don’t Forget To Eat!

It is said that “Anguilla is the Culinary Center of the Caribbean”… I believe it!  Exploring the island will make you hungry so make sure to explore the restaurants!  Jim and I enjoyed the local places as well as several popular ones. The food was amazing and the service…spectacular.  Each meal was on the beach and the beautiful views were included!

Tip:  Make note of the restaurants below.  They are “repeats”!

The Beach Bar at The CuisinArt Resort & Spa:  The local snapper was delicious.  The view?   Bright blue water looking out at St. Maartin...

Smokey’s At The Cove:  A local restaurant right on the beach.  More casual.  Seafood is fresh and the waitresses extremely nice.  Karaoke was the entertainment for the evening!

Blanchard’s:  Very well known on the island as one of the best! It lived up to our expectations.

Straw Hat:   Located on Mead’s Bay.  It was right on the beach and is in between casual and fancy.

Smokey’s:  Did I mention Smokey’s?  REPEAT! This time we had the honor of being serenaded by Bankie Bank’s son, Omari Banks.

Oliver’s:   Not as well known, however, Oliver was extremely nice and gave us both a complimentary glass of champagne.  Off the beaten path, but I highly recommend it.

Pimms:   Located at Cap Jaluca.  Very upscale restaurant with picturesque setting that is perfect for special occasions.  We both ordered crayfish and would do it again.

Some other restaurants that we had heard about but were already closed for the season were: Koal Keel, Veya, Da Vida’s, Cote Mer, Hibernia, Mangoes, and Malliouhana.  We will have to go back!

Our lunch spots were wonderful as well…try... Dolce Vida, an Italian place on the beach on Sandy Ground Bay and Madeariman’s, on the beach at Shoal Bay and Sandy Island.
