I recently visited Boston for a long weekend and had a large time! Everyone knows about “pahking cahs in Hahvihd Yahd”, but there's a lot more to Beantown than its English!
We made our way to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall (think Cheers!), a shopping market in the city. The central isle in Quincy Hall is unreal. It’s a food court, but no ordinary food court - there must be at least 50 take away style restaurants offering everything you could imagine. The New England “chowda” was excellent! Unfortunately, the Red Sox weren’t in town so no game at Fenway this time around. Must see sights- Boston Common, Beacon Hill, Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail and Cambridge.
We took a day trip to Kittery, Maine, a small town located 1 hr from the center of Boston and just across the New Hampshire state line. Kittery is well known for shopping! We feasted on fresh lobster at Warren’s Lobster House while enjoying the waterfront.
Historic, compact and walkable-Boston offers a slice of history at every turn. Direct flight from Greensboro to Boston is a short 1 hour and 40 minutes.
