Aladdin's Favorite Fireworks!

July 4th is quickly approaching and this week’s e-news and our website include Gadling’s Ten Fireworks Displays Worth a Roadtrip to See .  I asked the Aladdin family to name the best fireworks they had ever seen and here are a few of OUR favorites!

Liz:  When my children were young we always went to Southport, N.C. for the 4th of July week with my parents.  Southport has a huge 4th of July parade that includes all the Shriner’s organizations in N.C. and their various theme floats, craft show, food vendors and at the end of the day, a fantastic fireworks display over the inland waterway. Also, believe it or not, King, N.C. has the second best fireworks display I have ever witnessed.  For a small town it is a special event.

Nancy: One of the best I’ve ever seen is on the Cape Fear River in Wilmington on the 4th of July where the fireworks are over the USS North Carolina – pretty awesome!
